As inconspicuous as a spark plug is, its effect on consumption, willingness to start and the performance of the engine is so great. The ignition voltage generated by the ignition coil is transmitted to the spark plugs via the spark plug cables. There, the ignition spark produced by the ignition voltage jumps between a ceramic-insulated center electrode and a ground electrode fixed to the fastening thread and thus starts the combustion process.
