High-tech you can touch: The Interior kit consists of the trim for the DCT gear lever, the accompanying centre console trim and the handbrake grip. Its fine mix of open-pored carbon fibre and Alcantara conveys an exclusive motorsport atmosphere in both look and feel. The Interior kit is the perfect addition to the standard equipment.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This product is for installation by trained technicians and not by an end user. Installation must be performed exclusively by a specialist workshop. Your local BMW Centre will be able to assist with installation. Damage to any part due to incorrect fitment is not covered under warranty.

Delivery Overview:

• 1 BMW M Performance Gear selector knob carbon finisher for M double-clutch transmission.
• 1 Centre console frame cover for gear selector switch.
• 1 Handbrake handle without Alcantara gaiter. (standard gaiter can be used!)

Material:

• High-tech material with a tactile appeal, the open-pored carbon structure.
• Alcantara offers a consistently pleasant touch under all temperature conditions.
• Material information: The carbon products are handmade. The tailoring and draping of the tissue layers, the curing process of the plastic matrix and the milling of the raw parts take several hours. A special challenge is the subsequent finishing. In order to reinforce the depth effect, parts become a repeated varnish. Every single coating layer has to be dried and cutted afterwards. After applying the last coat of varnish, the carbon products will be polished to high gloss (exceptions are the open pored carbon designs). The carbon products are qualified by applicable BMW standards. This is the only way to ensure that the high requirements,f. e. age- and temperature-resistant without crack formation or varnish delamination of the substrate can be met and to avoid yellowing of the matrix. This high grade of handmade and qualification expenses is responsible for the price.
