The BUMOT Defender engine skidplate for the Honda Africa Twin 2018 is made of one-piece 4mm aluminum with welded construction for strength. The force of an impact is distributed over a large area via six mounting points. The side of the skidplate extend upward to provide significant protection for the lower engine cases - no need for a redundant lower crash bar!
