The lower tank cover from Ilmberger Carbon for the BMW R 1300 GS is a real eye-catcher and gives your motorcycle an individual touch. Thanks to the high-quality optic, this conspicuous place in the center of the motorcycle is perfectly set in scene. The lower tank cover can be mounted individually, but it also fits perfectly with the upper tank cover. This way, you create your very own look and stand out from the crowd.
The material used is our innovative BDC, which gives the part a completely new and individual touch. The surface of the BDC part is unique for each piece and reminiscent of marble. The BDC is laminated by hand at Ilmberger and hardened in several stages in the autoclave. The Material convinces not only with its exciting optics but also with its technical properties. The different fibers scatter the incoming light and create a hitherto unseen reflection.
The final Clear coat on this part is the modern satin matt version, which underlines the special optical properties of the material.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from environmental influences of any kind, we use, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, an specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces in combination with our clear coat. This creates a hitherto unmatched depth effect that particularly highlights the high-quality material.
