The front exhaust heat guard is made of a special high temperature resistant prepreg carbon material in a special autoclave manufacturing process to keep the possibility of the carbon fibre discolouring under intense heat as low as possible. This product replaces the original component while retaining the original attachment points. The main improvements are a weight reduction and greater rigidity.
Ilmberger uses pre-impregnated carbon fibre matrices for the high-quality carbon. The fibre volume is dimensions and the alignment of the individual fibres is defined. The matrix is then laminated bubble-free by hand and coated twice with a protective layer. The added clear varnish layer protects and emphasises the
